On November 30, 2023, the "Ecosystem Enhancement and Internationalisation Day" organized by the Postgraduate Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki took place.
The event served as an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and networking among stakeholders, as well as industry and academic community champions. Among others, some of the topics discussed were:
International Collaboration: Discussions on the collaboration between Texas A&M University and the MSc BME program at AUTH, presenting achievements and future perspectives.
Establishing Connections: Exciting sessions with international and national organisations and BME professional associations, laying the foundations for important partnerships.
Recommendations from Industry: Deepening our understanding of the field of industrial biomedical technology applications, featuring contributions from pioneers at Siemens Healthineers Greece, GE HealthCare and Draeger Hellas S.A.
Innovation Demonstration: Highlighting the entrepreneurial drive with presentations from startups and spin-offs affiliated with AUTH, revealing breakthrough ideas and solutions.
Student Achievements: Presentations from the progress of the thesis projects of students of the MSc BME programme at AUTH, highlighting their aspirations and research contributions to the field.
CENEBIT actively participated in the workshop at AUTH, both with presentations by the group's student partners and with the speeches of the administrative members. Dr. Alkinoos Athanasiou presented the institutions that contributed to the creation of CENEBIT, highlighting the need to strengthen the linkage and cooperation between the academic and industrial sectors.
